# PREPARATION Give yourself a set amount of time to “prepare”. We get stuck in the preparation phase when we want to be perfect. The real work is yet to come.

# HEART ENGAGEMENT Practice your speech out loud and put it through your “Heart Meter”. If what you hear feels authentic to the purpose of the speech, keep it. If not, rewrite it or delete it.

# GOOSEBUMP FACTOR The key parts of your inspirational story would give you goosebumps. If not, then you probably over- thought it, and you need to simplify it.

# FULL ENGAGEMENT The real work is a dance between delivering and refining the speech. Fully engaging your whole body with your mind connects you with the true substance of your speech.

# AN INSTRUMENT You are an instrument, guiding through your inspirational speech. If the Source of your message were there with you, what would the Source want you to share?
