About Jane Chin
Like many of you, I have basic material goals like paying off the house, saving up for my kid’s education, and investing toward “retirement”.
I see Life as an adventure, full of magic and beauty.
My role as a human being is first to serve as case-study/Example for others: I want to inspire others to discover their own adventures and design viable futures by sharing my life lessons and how I produce sustainable and outstanding results. I also want to spare others from making the same mistakes I have made wherever possible, but I honor every person’s privilege to learn from their own mistakes.
My expanded role is as catalyst for, and collaborator with, like-minded individuals looking to change the world through authentic thinking, personal mastery, and alignment of actions with our highest values.
Through Leaders Cafe Foundation:
I am Founder for the United States branch of Leaders Cafe Foundation (LCF), and work with the UK-based branch as well as my LCF founder colleagues internationally help provide the best leadership learning affordable to everyone.
Current Projects: I am writing 3 leadership books for 2010 and welcome your participation as interviewee for qualified areas:
(1) Practical leadership book for upper-mid-level biopharma executives, (2) Personal leadership ebook for action heroes from all walks of life, and (3) Practical leadership book for front-line healthcare professionals including nurses, physicians, and field scientists.
“I came across Jane in February 2009. What struck me immediately was her sincerity, authenticity and the quiet confidence of a self-aware person. Her ability to dissect a personal leadership or a leadership issue is uncanny… The value you get from Jane is less about coming to the answer – but more about the journey that she takes you. In so doing, you find unexpected answers that can lead to infinite possibilities. This is from personal experience where the dialogue with Jane has led to breakthroughs in my own thinking.” Kwai Yu, Founder, Leaders Cafe Foundation
Through Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Institute
I created MSL Institute in 2004 to help companies ethically and legally use field-based medical science liaisons. MSL Institute is an example of business success and career fulfillment that result from doing the right thing instead of staying silent and obeying an unethical status quo.
“Jane is one of the most talented, entrepreneurial, and determined women I ever met. Her inquiring mind and keen sense of her market of medical science liaisons makes her an ideal consultant, trainer and all in all a leader in her field. In a short two years she has advanced the once stagnant field of MSL into the 21st century. Pharmaceutical companies, take heed.” Ben Gilad, Owner, Academy of Competitive Intelligence
“Jane’s integrity, honesty, intelligence, creativity and leadership have been exemplary and consistent in every professional interaction I have had the honor to have with her. As a Medical Science Liaison Quarterly advisory board member, I observed first hand how skilled Jane is at articulating issues and objectively solving complex problems. Jane is a rare individual whose multi-faceted talents allow her to consult, present, and write with insight and precision.” Daniel Snyder, Ph.D., Medical Science Liaison, Talecris Biotherapeutics
“I have worked with Jane Chin for six years on various thought leader and MSL research studies. I have always found her perspectives extremely insightful. Her knowledge and experience within the pharmaceutical industry, and specifically around MSL programs, is second to none. I would feel priviledged to work with Jane again on future projects.” Elio Evangelista, Research Team Leader, Cutting Edge Information
“I cannot speak highly enough of Jane and our interactions together on MSL Institute and MSL University related projects. She always makes her decisions, large or small, with a consistent integrity that is second to none. Her predictions regarding the role of the Medical Science Liaison in the pharmaceutical industry have been right on target. I can say without reservation that anyone who has the privilege of working with Jane in a business partnership will be the greater beneficiary and far richer for the experience.” Gary Mendelsohn, Training Manager, Scientific Affairs, Astellas Pharma US, Inc.
