Excerpt Maybe unethical and questionable activities seem to be the norm in our society today because of “rare public rebukes.” Those of us who have ever written a term paper in school know very well that when we plagiarized material, it’s deliberate and we knew exactly what it was that we were doing. I don’t believe for a minute that this was not intentional or deliberate.

Jane Y. Chin, Ph.D. grew up in 3 continents spanning the East, Middle East, and the West. Her recent books are The Youngest Light (creative nonfiction, 2011), PhD [alternative] Career Clinic (careers, 2011), Practical Leadership for Pharmaceutical Executives (management, 2011), and Executive Primer to Medical Science Liaison Metrics (business, 2011). Chin has a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from Cornell University (Ithaca, New York) and a doctorate degree in biochemistry from University of Buffalo at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (Buffalo, New York). She lives in Los Angeles, California with her husband, son, and an old royal ball python named Budette.
