I would remind myself sooner that
I deserve, and can create, a beautiful life.

I would remember that
the saddest, darkest times will fade away
the way ocean tides ebb and flow,
and where the tears once was,
strength now lives.

Chin has a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from Cornell University (Ithaca, New York) and a doctorate degree in biochemistry from University of Buffalo at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (Buffalo, New York). She lives in Los Angeles, California with her husband, son, and an old royal ball python named Budette.
